About This Race

Come out for our 2nd annual 2026 Resler Trail Race & Family Walk at Wakeem/Teschner Nature Preserve at Resler Canyon, a beloved 91- acre protected space owned outright by The Frontera Land Alliance. For the 2nd time, we're hosting a Trail Race and Family walk to bring together runners, walkers, families, and nature lovers for a morning of fun, and connection to the land.  The goal of this event is to educate our community about the importance of preserving the land, show you the beautiful trails, and invite you to join us on other adventures we, The Frontera Land Alliance, host throughout the year. This year, we remember Charlie Wakeem, who passed away in May. Charlie was a key founder of Frontera, and his hard work was instrumental in protecting the Wakeem-Teschner Nature Preserve at Resler Canyon. Charlie spent his time after retirement advocating open spaces in El Paso as he loved its natural beauty; especially its sunsets.  Race Information Sunday, December 6th 2026 Location: Wakeem/Teschner Nature Preserve at Resler Canyon, dead end of Cadiz St & Fiesta Dr No dogs will be allowed in the preserve during the race. Start time 7:30am 5k / 8:00am 1 mile walk Race Options 5k run/walk 1 mile walk Packet Pick-up Saturday, December 5th 2026 From 11am-1pm At the Frontera Land Alliance Office (1201 N Mesa St, El Paso Texas 79902) Remember to register before Nov 15th if you want a shirt! Packet pick-up available the day of the race from 7:00am-7:30am
