About This Race

Kick off Goat Cookoff weekend with the 5K Goat Gallop!    The Goat Gallop is the first event of the 52nd Annual World Championship BBQ Goat Cookoff. Runners and walkers will start and finish at the same location, then stick around for a full day of fun! After the race, enjoy shopping vendors, music in the park all day, food vendors, kids activities, goat roping, the Goat Meal available for purchase, and a Saturday night concert to end the evening. Come spend the day with us — there’s something for all ages!   Race t-shirts & finisher medal guaranteed to racers registered by Friday, September 4th.   Bring the family-fun for all ages and fitness levels!   Registration Fees (thru Sept 5th):   5K Adult - $25.00       Students- $15.00        Sleep-In Supporter: $20.00 (Now to 09/04/26) Can’t get up that early? Don’t sweat it!!! Show your support from the comfort of home in your pjs! Registrants will receive a t-shirt but will not be assigned a bib or be eligible for awards.  Shirts can be picked up at Brady Chamber by 09/03/26 or the day of the race 09/05/26.         Award Categories: Age Divisions:  Male & Female 13 and under, 14-18,19-29, 30-39.40-49,50-59, 60+   5K: Finisher Medals for all.  Medal awarded for top Male and Female, top Junior Male and Female     Early Packet Pick-Up: Thursday 09/03/26 Brady Chamber 106 W Main-Brady    Morning of the race 09/05/26 Bulldog Stadium/Brady ISD Admin Office   Race Day Schedule:  Walk up registration: 6:30-7:15am 5K Run @ 7:30 a.m.     No Pets, PLEASE!
