SNIPSA 19th Annual Race for the Rescues 5K Run/Walk with your Dog

About This Race

Ready... Set... Race!!! This important charity event is SNIPSA’s largest fundraiser to raise awareness about the plight of homeless dogs and cats in our area. Race for the Rescues is a pet-friendly 5k course beginning at the Alamo Heights swimming pool in San Antonio. You have the option to run/walk the race by yourself, with your dog(s) or in a team. All proceeds from the race support SNIPSA’s spay/neuter outreach in the community and provide veterinary care for our rescue animals. SNIPSA Office 4216 McCullough Ave. San Antonio, TX 78212 EVENT FEES*: 5K Individual Run for Competitive Runners without Dogs $40 5k Individual Walk/Run $40 (with or without dogs) 5K Children Walk/Run $25 5K Team Entry (10 person minimum) Walk/Run $35 *No refunds.  100% of proceeds will be used to fund animal medical needs. TEAMS – Once you reach the minimum of 10 runners, you will get a $5 refund. This is to ensure that you have a minimum of 10 runners per team. HOW TO REGISTER YOUR TEAM: 1. Pick your event 2. If you are creating a group choose “create a group/team” 3. If you are joining a team, choose “join an existing team" and find the name of the team you want to join 4. Click continue and fill the rest of the info. AWARD CATEGORIES: Awards will be in the form of medals (gold, silver, bronze) given for: 1st Overall M/F Top 3 M/F w/dog (runner and dog must run and cross the finish line together) 1st Master (over 50) M/F Top 3 M/F in the following age groups (Individual 5K only): 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older. *All awards will be based on chip time.  Winners are not eligible for multiple awards.
