Join us on October 10, 2026 for the Inaugural "Texas Roots 5k & 10k" Run/Walk. — Come too with the walkers in your family or crew  —Abuelita, in-laws, aunts. Build memories as they experience with you their first own 5k journey. Bring them all to WALK. RUN. JOG. CRAWL. REST. REPEAT. SUPPORT EDUCATION. Soon, running will become a shared experience.   Across the finish line?   You will earn our collectible finisher medal celebrating our "Great State of Texas".   Event Details   Date: Saturday, October 10th, 2026     Location: : Mission Hike & Bike Trails   Address: 1386 S Conway Ave. Mission, Texas 79572      START TIME: 7:30 AM   Arrival Time: 6:30 a.m. Earlier arrival for parking, stretching, and warm-up   Pre-race Warm Up will start promptly at 6:45 am (by TBA)   Chip Timing & Live Results (5K & 10K)   Premium Event Shirt & Bib. Our T-Shirt sports an on-sleeve mark to celebrate Culture & Identity Day (formerly Dia De La Raza & Columbus Day).    Shirt Deadline: September 17th After this date, shirts will be available first come, first served at packet pickup. No sizes are guaranteed.   Registration Fee for Groups of 10: $5 Discount for either 5k or 10k   Packet Pickup (TBA)   Thursday, October 9th   3:30pm- 6:30pm   Texas-Themed Photo Area (by Nova Moments)  Snacks & Hydration Station (by Walmart)  Stacked drinks & Refreshers (by La Buena Lucha Co.)   DJ Music.
